The induction period involves looking at the key features of the periodic table, electronic configuration of atoms, formulae of common substances and ions, writing and balancing equations, re-arranging equations. The course also has some mathematical requirements. You need to feel comfortable with fractions, decimals, percentages, proportions and ratio's. The following resources can help recap the areas described.
Remember to learn the common ions. Can you see a link between the group and the charge? Notice how the transition metals have various oxidation states.
